- The role
CARE in Timor-Leste is seeking Expressions of Interest for Drone Operator Trainer (s) (referred to in this document as “the contractor”) to provide occasional drone operation training services for the LAFAEK Learning Media Project.
The contractor should have their DJI drone, computer, and software and be available to provide training for the Lafaek team in November 2022 for the LAFAEK project activities, etc. The contractor should have experience in operating drones, videography and photography, and video-photo editing and be able to use adobe suite programs such as adobe Photoshop and adobe premiere pro. The contractor needs to be creative, flexible, and responsive to any communication or requests from the project regarding work schedules, and training programs and able to perform tasks under time pressure.

Service Provider Deliverables:
The consultant will fulfill the following deliverables:

The consultant will report and collaborate with the LAFAEK Production manager. Contractual arrangements will be detailed in the appointment letter. Will make payment based on the successful completion of the deliverables listed above, subject to quality control and validation by the LAFAEK Learning Media Project. The Provider will report to: Marcelino Martins, Lafaek Project Manager, Simplicio Lopes Barbosa, Marketing and Communication manager, and Octavio Andrade, Production and Publication manager. The Provider will work closely with: Video Production team, regular with Senior communication officer and Graphic design and Photographer. Time-frame / Schedule: The start date of this contract is on or about November 2022. |
- The requirements
The selected contractor shall possess the following qualifications:
- Physically present in Dili, Timor-Leste for most or all of the work period (travel costs will not be considered in the budget)
- Ability to provide Drone operator skills in Film, Photography & Videography for a low literacy audience;
- Ability to create a basic video documenter that is attractive to the audience;
- Computer equipment and software required for completing the work;
- Experience in working with INGO and government and other relevant organizations in producing a video a plus;
